The Hotel Schweizerhof enjoys a preferred location in the centre of Basel, next to the SBB train station and is easily accessible by car and public transport. The 3-star hotel Schweizerhof offers completely renovated, non-smoking rooms, a rich buffet breakfast, 24-hour continental breakfast, a hotel bar with a smoking area, a business corner with free access to the internet and free use of public transportation in the surrounding area. Free parking for a maximum of 6 cars is available but more than 500 parking spaces can be found around the hotel. All important museums, theatres, sport stadiums, the Basel Zoo as well as the congress and exhibition centre are easily reachable on foot or by public transportation. Renovation notice: From 24 November 2008 until 23 March 2009 40 hotel rooms will be renovated, but the hotel remains open at all times. At least 43 rooms are always in use. The reception area, the breakfast room, the bar and lounge area, the guest lift and the business corner are not affected by the work at any time! Kindly excuse any inconvenience from Monday to Saturday during working hours (Saturday from 10:00 until 17:00 at the latest). |

Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 18:00 on the date of arrival, no fee will be charged. If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged. Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome. All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding. All children under 2 years stay free of charge for cots. All older children or adults are charged CHF 50.00 per night and person for extra beds. Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1. Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged. VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included. Service charge is included. CHF 3.20 city/tourist tax per person per night is not included. Internet: Wireless Internet Hotspot is available in the entire hotel and costs CHF 10.00 per hour. Meal Plan: Buffet breakfast is included in the room rate. Continental breakfast costs CHF 20.00 per person. Parking: Private parking is possible on site (reservation is needed) and costs CHF 23.00 per day. Pets: Pets are not allowed.
